Are you confused about what you can give your little one when weaning, especially when it comes to meat and fish?

As the UK’s number one parenting author and expert on baby and children’s nutrition, Annabel’s range of organic baby purees are long overdue!

Based on some of her most popular recipes from her books, the purées are made from natural, tasty ingredients and aim to be at the forefront of store bought savoury purees that taste just like homemade.

Annabel knows that some puree recipes are much harder to make than others: “Ready made fruit and vegetables purees that taste natural are much easier to make than meat and fish purees, which have always been a bit trickier and can often taste bland. I have spent a long time researching how to make savoury purees that actually taste like the ingredients within.”

A common mistake when weaning is to continue feeding only fruit and vegetable purées after six months. Your little ones diet is then too low in calories and lacks the fat and nutrients found in proteins such as meat and fish, which are important sources of iron and essential fatty acids. Meat and fish purées are often more complicated and time consuming to make. Annabel’s pouches are perfect for busy mums and dads who don’t always have time to cook from scratch or for those that feel unsure of how to start introducing meat to their baby’s diet.

Tested extensively on babies (and their parents!), the taste of natural, home cooked food, allow babies to develop healthy eating habits early in life and helps them make the transition to family food and avoid fussy eaters.

Annabel made sure the flavours were just right “I researched popular dishes given to babies in order to put together delicious combinations of vegetables, meat and fish and create a selection that would give babies a wide variety of tastes. I also concentrated the ingredients to make them packed full of flavour, so there is no chance of blandness. Parents often think that the blander the better for babies, but you will be surprised by what they enjoy!”

The range comprises of: Sunday Best Roast Chicken, Cosy Cottage Pie, Scrumptious Salmon & Sweet Potato, Lovely Lentils & Tomato, Tasty Chicken & Butternut Squash, Fruity Apple, Pear & Blueberry

Available now in Sainsbury’s and in Tesco’s from July

Hi Annabel, Your book “Superfoods for babies and children” is my favorite. I love your combination of Avocado and Banana. The pureed salmon is really good too. I love these kinds of single surve purees, but I am wondering if your’s are available in the US? Thanks!

Are these available in all Tescos now? I bought quite a few when I saw them in my local tesco but they have not been on the shelves since…these are the only pouches my daughter will eat so at the moment I am having to travel nearly 15 miles to my nearest Sainsburys at the moment!!
