National Cupcake Week

As it’s National Cupcake Week this week, we thought we would bring you some my most delicious cupcake recipes and wow your friends and family with these fabulous decorating ideas.

My Favourite Cupcakes

It's the icing that makes these cupcakes special - swirl, swirl & swirl!

First things first. You will need my fool proof vanilla cupcake recipe – my method for baking cupcakes never fails. For the best resutls the butter and eggs should be at room temperature. Once you have mastered this, you can change the ingredients slightly to make different flavoured cupcakes or add all kinds of icings and decorations so that each one is a mini masterpiece.

Get creative and create these Animal Cupcakes and Puppy Dog Cakes. The secret of these cupcakes is rolled fondant icing which make great ears and mouths. Perfect for parties or just if you feel like a treat!

Decorate these cupcakes to look like animals...woof woof!

With Halloween fast approaching, your kids will enjoy creating each monster’s face with sweets. Will they be friendly or scary? Or why not try something a little different – a cross between a brownie, a muffin and a cupcake, these Chocolate Spider Cakes are unlikely to hang around for long.

Make Christmas magical this year and get your little ones to make Snazzy Snowmen or Father Christmas Cupcakes. They make wonderful homemade gifts – kids feel so proud and happy to give friends, family or teachers something they’ve made themselves!
